Holistic approach to mental health and well-being
I specialize in evidence-based treatments for sleep, anxiety, and mood disorders and provide a variety of treatment techniques including Cognitive Behavioral Treatment for insomnia, anxiety, and depression, Acceptance and Commitment Based Therapy, cognitive training for ADHD, and mindfulness techniques.
Given my focus on evidence-based psychotherapy that has been shown to bring results; my practice goal is to enable the client to gain the skills needed to independently manage life situations and symptoms.
I received my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Boston University Center for Anxiety and Related Disorder where I worked with clients with various mood disorders and had a primary focus on sleep and the impact of poor sleep on functioning. I trained with physicians in sleep medicine and was certified in Cognitive Behavioral Treatment of Insomnia. I completed my internship and fellowship training at the Boston VA Medical Center where I worked with veterans with PTSD, mood disorders, as well as severe mental illness. Part of my fellowship training involved work for the Strength at Home Program where we provided individual and couples therapy for veterans experiencing relationship conflict. I started my private practice in 2015 and have applied my wide array of experiences to continue working with clients who experience anxiety, ADHD, depression, insomnia, and relationship conflict.
At Advanced Therapy Boston, our mission is to provide compassionate and evidence-based treatments to help our clients achieve their goals and improve their mental health and well-being.
We offer a personalized approach to therapy, tailoring our treatments to meet the unique needs of each client. We start the therapy journey with an initial meeting where we develop client-specific treatment goals in a collaborative environment and determine the frequency and method of therapy with each client individually.
Individual therapy sessions are designed to help clients navigate a wide range of mental health challenges, from anxiety and depression to insomnia and relationship issues. We utilize evidence-based treatments to help clients build resiliency, develop healthy coping skills, and achieve their goals.
Couples therapy sessions help partners deepen their connection, improve communication, and resolve conflicts. We work with couples to identify patterns of behavior that may be causing distress and provide tools to help them build a stronger, healthier relationship.
Teletherapy sessions allow clients to receive quality mental health care from the comfort and convenience of their own home. We utilize a secure and easy-to-use platform to provide clients with a safe and confidential space to discuss their concerns and work towards their goals.
Mindfulness-based therapy sessions help clients develop a more mindful and compassionate relationship with themselves and others. We utilize mindfulness-based techniques to help clients reduce stress, improve emotional regulation, and cultivate greater self-awareness and acceptance.
